Marbling & Special Paint Finishes

Marbling and other faux finishes are a traditional form of decoration. It can be used to decorate walls, furniture and also on decorative 3D objects such as columns, vases, bowls or bottles.

By breaking with the traditional trend of copying real stone or wood and using more imaginative mixtures of colours and brushstrokes, we can create ‘marbled’ surfaces which are not an imitation of any real stone but one that still has the same smooth finish.

Special paint finishes can be seen in our gallery - from stencilling to “broken colour” works, which encompass a vast range of finishes such as sponging, colour washes, frottage and dragging.
